Children are under the jurisdiction of the District School Board of Collier County which is comprised of 50 elementary, middle and high schools, in addition to two charter schools and two postsecondary technical schools. Nearby colleges and universities include Hodges University, Ave Maria University, Ave Maria School of Law, and Florida Gulf Coast University.
Residents of Olde Naples enjoy quick access to many of Naples' popular attractions including the Naples Philharmonic Center for the Arts, Naples Players Community Theatre, Naples Botanical Garden and the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. Fifth Avenue South and Third Street in Olde Naples are also terrific places to dine and shop with over 100 retail stores, boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. Residents can also stretch their legs at local country clubs while enjoying a game of golf or tennis. A local favorite is fishing off the Naples pier or attending one of the many outdoor live concerts and events.
Naples' economy is based largely on the tourism industry. As part of the Paradise Coast, which includes the cities of Naples, Marco Island, and the Everglades, visitors and travelers are drawn to the area's beaches, nature preserves, high-end shopping and dining, and the arts. This area of Collier County is also home to Health Management Associates, a Fortune 1000 company; INgage Networks, a technology company; and Arthrex, a medical equipment manufacturer.
